Royal Melbourne

GDP Construct was entrusted by Melbourne Health to execute significant structural and architectural upgrades to the North, East, and West wings, as well as the Centre for Medical Research at RMH’s Parkville campus. This complex project, carried out in a highly sensitive live environment, involved multiple stages and elevations.

To accommodate the challenging conditions, GDP implemented a comprehensive access package that included gantries, static scaffold, swing stage scaffolds, motorized plant and equipment, and rope access. Our skilled team worked across 5,500m² of vertical workfaces, spanning nine separate elevations and eight floors.

The scope of work involved intricate structural steel architectural cladding installations and detailed remedial masonry work. This project underscores GDP Construct’s capability to manage complex, multi-faceted construction tasks while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
